EP28: Guiding Your Child Through Their Fears Of Random School Based Violence

Today's conversation is in response to the recent acts of gun violence in the United States, specifically the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Entire communities are left on edge following last week's horrific shooting.   It is important to help children feel safe in the face of unfathomable danger.  Sadly, the need for these conversations is increasing and these conversations are often difficult for parents and kids alike.

Dr. Laura Anderson provides step by step scripts for how to talk to kids about the potential of violence in school, how to manage their fears, and how to approach conversation about events out of our control.
